Welcome to the 2010 Summer Leadership Institute!
Within this group, we will be working on how to improve mathematical teaching and learning in a technology-enhanced classroom. The goals of the Institute are to:
Provide you with deeper understanding of the intersection of curricular standards and sound 1:1 pedagogy through the use of 21st century tools;
Explore opportunities and options for utilizing different forms of assessment in a 1:1 classroom;
Experiment with content-specific/appropriate technology tools; and
Support you in creating a student-centered 1:1 lesson.
We have a multitude of activities, opportunities for collaboration, and time for discussion designed to support each of these goals. A unique aspect of using this wiki is that all products created in every activity will be saved for later use. Since everything will be saved here, you will have continual access to multiple assessments, activities, and full lessons to use in the coming year. Thus, not only are you gaining experience by being here, you are also leaving with a numerous useful resources!
